The Field Support Specialist is responsible for providing on-site and remote support for the installation, maintenance, and operation of License Plate Recognition (LPR) systems and parking lot infrastructure. This role ensures that all equipment, software, and site construction projects are executed to company standards, delivering reliable performance and exceptional customer experience. The Field Support Specialist serves as a key liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams, supporting system deployments, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining detailed documentation of field activities. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills, with frequent travel to project sites and client locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
System Support & Maintenance
*Install, configure, test, and maintain LPR systems, parking equipment, cameras, sensors, and related hardware/software.
*Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
*Troubleshoot technical issues on-site or remotely, escalating to senior technical teams when necessary.
*Perform system updates, calibrations, and repairs to minimize downtime.
* Monitor LPR systems daily
Field Operations & Construction Support
* Assist with setup and support during parking lot construction, installation, and site activation.
* Conduct site surveys to verify technical requirements (power, network, camera placement, signage, etc.).
*· Support contractors and vendors with equipment integration and compliance to project specifications.
* Ensure safety standards, company policies, and client requirements are met on all worksites.
Customer & Client Support
* Serve as the first point of contact for field-related service issues, providing on-site and remote support to clients.
* Deliver clear status updates to project managers, clients, and leadership regarding site conditions and progress.
* Dispatch contractors as need to repair and maintain sites
* Action support tickets meeting PAVE standards and SLAs
Project Coordination & Reporting
* Document service activities, equipment installations, site conditions, and maintenance logs accurately.
*Provide feedback from the field to improve system reliability, installation processes, and customer satisfaction.
* Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, project management) to support seamless project execution.
* Coordinate with procurement inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, and report needs proactively.
General Responsibilities
* Travel as needed to assign sites to provide support for installations, service calls, and construction projects.
* Maintain professional conduct and represent the company positively in all client and contractor interactions.
* Adhere to safety, compliance, and quality standards at all times.
Skills
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency tools such as Jira, Zendesk, Microsoft planner, or similar.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
· 3 years of experience as an Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
· Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies.
· Experience with testing support systems, CRM systems, or similar applications preferred.
