AltaStaff is a staffing agency currently looking for a Medical Records Coordinator for one of our Managed Care partners!
**This role may have a need for local travel to conduct onsite visits, candidates must reside near Waltham, MA***
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 hourly
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm EST
Position Purpose: This position works as a vital member of the Medical Records Department, an integral portion of the Risk Adjustment Operations Team. The Medical Record Coordinator works closely with internal resources to support medical record retrieval strategies for medical record needs, including Prospective and Retrospective Risk Adjustment.
Job Responsibilities:

Support medical record retrieval project efforts through detailed documentation and communication

Facilitate medical record retrieval efforts from partners to support Risk Adjustment and other projects

Work collaboratively with the provider relations and in-market clinical team to cultivate access to EMR systems.

Coordinate medical record retrieval requests and invoicing process with vendor partners

Adhere to established processes to protect PHI, ensure accurate and timely record uploads, and track status of records and record requests

Attend meetings, trainings and other gatherings as required

Outreach to provider offices to resolve obstacles in obtaining medical records
Job Qualifications:
-
Associate's Degree or relevant experience in lieu of degree

2+ years of experience in healthcare/managed care organization required

Must have 1+ year of experience improving provider Quality performance through provider engagement, practice transformation, etc.

1+ years of medical record experience

Strong call center/customer service experience required

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint

Strong attention to detail and highly organized
