CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team producing high-precision components. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working with advanced machinery, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on CNC experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances while ensuring high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery to manufacture precision components.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain part quality and production efficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and detailed work instructions.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Monitor machine performance and ensure finished parts meet required tolerances and quality standards.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency and reducing waste.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all safety and quality procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience (milling, turning, or grinding).
  • Solid understanding of machining fundamentals including tooling, setup, feeds and speeds.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
  • Experience using precision measurement and inspection tools to verify tight tolerances.
  • Strong attention to detail with good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Experience working with 4-axis or 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Basic knowledge of G-code or CNC programming.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Penta, Haas, Combi, or similar CNC systems.
  • Background working in precision manufacturing environments such as aerospace, medical device, or defense industries.
