Chemical Production Operator
Jackson, MI | $19/hour | 100% Onsite
Contract with potential for full-time hire
About the Role:
Our Client is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Chemical Production Operator for an onsite role at their Jackson, MI facility. This position plays a critical role in manufacturing operations and requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment

Load drums and sacks with finished solid chemical products
-
Perform basic chemical process operations
-
Troubleshoot equipment and maintain clean, safe work areas
-
Complete daily documentation and adhere to production requirements

Report safety violations or hazards

Support operational activities as assigned
✅ Qualifications:
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in a production/manufacturing environment
-
Flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed
-
Experience in a chemical production setting preferred
-
Basic SAP knowledge and computer skills preferred
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Demonstrated strong work habits: attendance, safety, housekeeping
Physical & Safety Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs
-
Must be able to wear face shields/goggles and all required PPE
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
