Custom Machine Builder and Machine and Fabrication Job shop seeks a Mechanical Drafter.
The Mechanical Draftsman is responsible for creating precise technical drawings, 3D models, and detailed specifications for mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems. This role works closely with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable, and meet all applicable standards.
Responsiblities:
- Prepare detailed 3D mechanical drawings using CAD software (e.g., Autocad or SolidWorks).
- Convert engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into technical drawings.
- Create and maintain bill of materials (BOMs) and drawing revisions
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and fabricators to address manufacturing issues and update drawing.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software .
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerances, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
