Responsibilities Include
- Precision Assembly: Read and interpret complex wiring schematics, blueprints, and work orders to build assemblies from start to finish.
- Wire Preparation: Perform cutting, stripping, and tinning of various wire gauges according to strict engineering specifications.
- Component Integration: Populate connectors, install terminals, and apply heat-shrink tubing or braided sleeving to protect internal components.
- Soldering & Crimping: Execute high-quality hand soldering and utilize manual or semi-automatic crimping tools for terminal attachments.
- Testing & Inspection: Use continuity testers, pull-test equipment, and multi-meters to ensure every cable meets electrical integrity standards.
- Routing & Bundling: Arrange wires on harness boards using tie wraps, lacing cord, or tape to ensure clean and functional cable routing.
- Process Documentation: Maintain accurate records of completed units and report any material defects or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications
- Stable Work History: Must demonstrate a consistent professional background with a history of long-term commitment to previous employers.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read and understand technical drawings, color-coding charts, and assembly instructions.
- Manual Dexterity: Exceptional hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with small, intricate parts for extended periods.
- Quality Focused: A "first-time right" mentality with a sharp eye for identifying minute defects in insulation or connections.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience using wire strippers, heat guns, crimpers, and soldering irons is highly preferred.
- Mathematical Competency: Ability to perform basic measurements using rulers and calipers (both metric and imperial).
- Professional Reliability: A strong reputation for punctuality and a collaborative attitude toward teammates.
Competitive Pay: Compensation is determined by candidate experience, education, certifications, and specific job-related skills. $20-$22/hr
