ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING – EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Position Summary

As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADN), you will play a key role in advancing our mission, vision, and values while supporting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

The ADN upholds the highest standards of nursing practice as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, the Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement. This role is instrumental in ensuring quality outcomes, fostering staff engagement, and driving continuous improvement in all areas of patient care.

Working closely with nursing and medical leadership, the ADN oversees day-to-day operations, manages resources effectively, and promotes an environment of clinical excellence and compassionate care. The ideal candidate is a visible, hands-on leader who inspires others through professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and registration
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in a healthcare or emergency setting
• Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with a focus on performance improvement
• Proficiency with computer systems and data-driven decision-making
• ANCC Certification in Nursing Administration or Advanced Administration preferred

Location: 600 E. 233rd Street, Bronx, NY 10466

Work Schedule: M – F, 6:00 p.m. to 2:20 a.m. Alternate weekend

Pay Range: $153,572.80-$191,966.00
