Industrial Maintenance Tech

Job Description:

In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of repair and preventative maintenance work throughout the facility. This is a great opportunity, as a steppingstone for a current technician to take the next step as it will be a 1-person department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance:

• Complete maintenance jobs in accordance with the highest priority
• Streamline associated repair costs and job execution.
• Ensure prompt repairs by responding to emergency breakdowns.
• Prioritize work as per emergencies and plant priorities.
• Repair and maintain machines, shop tools, equipment, and facility.
• Perform routine PMs of equipment.
• Facility maintenance such as changing lights, plumbing, moving furniture, and minor repairs.
• Run electrical for new machines, 3 phase 480.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Occasional PLC troubleshooting
• Responsible for outside vendors when needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Planning, organizational and time management skills
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Self-starter, able to work unsupervised.
• Observes safety and security procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
• Walking, standing for up to 8 hours a day, overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Use of powered equipment forklift, scissor lift
