Salary: $30 an hour
Press Brake Programmer
Pay: $26-$31/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (overtime as needed)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Programmer to set up, program, and operate press brake machinery to produce high-quality metal components. This is an advanced role requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate press brake machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and 3D models
- Create and edit machine programs, including multi-hit programs
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances
- Adjust machine settings to account for material variations
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance
- Operate shop equipment such as overhead crane, forklift, and hydraulic press
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with press brake setup and programming (required)
- Solid understanding of tooling, tolerances, and precision measurements
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure)
- Familiarity with offline programming software (preferred)
- Basic computer skills
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, kneel, and reach as needed
- Work in a manufacturing environment (noise, dust, temperature changes)
Qualifications
- Technical certification or relevant training preferred
- Hands-on experience required
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
