As a Line Attendant, you will play a critical role in supporting machine operators by loading cheese blocks onto conveyors and feeding them into the cheese shredding machine. You will also assist in packaging the shredded cheese, ensuring that all processes are conducted efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Lift cheese blocks weighing up to 40lbs consistently throughout the day and load them onto conveyors and tables.
• Perform visual inspections of cheese to ensure there is no plastic attached before shredding.
• Use a sharp tool to remove plastic from blocks.
• Bag shredded cheese into appropriate portions and attach labels as necessary.
• Comply with GMP standards, including wearing hair nets, beard nets, smocks, and steel-toed shoes.
• Maintain a smoke-free environment.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of general labor or general production experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs consistently throughout the day.
• Experience in production, loading, and packaging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Consistent work history in labor-intensive roles requiring repetitive tasks.
• Preference for candidates with GMP environment experience or basic understanding.
• At least 1 year of experience in packaging, production, or warehouse roles involving moving packages or loading and unloading boxes.

Work Environment

Work at the cheese production facility in Franklin, with hours from 10:00pm to 6/7am, Sunday night through Friday morning. Benefit from a shift differential for night hours and occasional overtime on Friday nights. The facility operates at 55 degrees and adheres to GMP standards, requiring appropriate PPE provided by the company. The environment is smoke-free, with restrictions on jewelry, fake nails, and eyelashes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.84 - $27.84/hr.
