Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time, in-person Special Education Resource Teacher opportunity is available serving two elementary schools, with a unique split schedule of three days per week at one school and two days per week at another. This role requires an experienced educator dedicated to supporting the diverse learning needs of students with special needs in a collaborative school environment located in Hayward, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special education needs in resource settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and administration to develop and implement appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet each learners unique requirements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school policies and special education regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the schools inclusive education goals
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credential with a specialization in Special Education
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged students in a resource setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
