About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Travel Agent to support a global organization in managing domestic and international travel arrangements. This role involves working closely with aviation and travel departments to coordinate company aircraft schedules and commercial travel for employees worldwide. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS), preferably Galileo, and the ability to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
As a Travel Agent, you will handle all aspects of booking and processing travel arrangements, including air, ground transportation, and hotel accommodations. Responsibilities include coordinating company plane schedules, assisting with expense report processing, and supporting the Corporate Credit Card program. You will also learn and utilize systems such as Concur, TRAMS back office, and ARC reporting. This position requires collaboration with Aviation, Travel, and Treasury teams to ensure superior results and may involve assisting with operating plans, forecasts, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Book and process domestic and international travel using Worldspan and other reservation methods
- Coordinate company aircraft schedules and passenger arrangements
- Learn and apply basic Concur functions, TRAMS back office, and ARC reporting requirements
- Assist with Corporate Credit Card program and expense auditing
- Support Aviation/Travel/Treasury teams and contribute to operational goals
- Partner with Travel Manager on forecasts and miscellaneous projects
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of Travel Agent experience
- Proficiency with a GDS system (Galileo strongly preferred)
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Teams, Outlook, OneNote)
- Self-starter with proven decision-making abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to interact professionally with internal travelers and senior management
Preferred:
- College degree (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of ARC/IATAN regulations for accredited travel agencies (training available)
- Familiarity with Trams accounting system and Concur
- Experience with expense auditing and corporate credit card programs
