A leading pipe manufacturing facility in Steelton, Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join its maintenance team. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and industrial equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and possess strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and automated systems. All considered applicants must pass background and substance screening. This is a full-time on-site position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical drawings, and electrical code specifications to determine installation requirements.
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and systems.
- Perform electrical wiring installations, conduit runs, feeders, receptacles, switch boxes, lighting fixtures, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, voltage, current, resistance, and proper operation.
- Diagnose and repair electrical components including motors, relays, overloads, sensors, switches, cables, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and resolve programming-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboards, regulators, reactors, generators, alternators, industrial batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Assist with new equipment installations and plant improvement projects.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
- Industrial Electrician experience preferred (3 years minimum).
- Experience in a production or manufacturing setting preferred; but not required.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs., twist and turn, kneel, and stand for long periods of time, climb a ladder, and work overhead as required.
