Job Description

Role: Senior Construction Manager

Contract: 24 Months

Location: Onsite in Berwyn, PA

  • This position is full-time, but hours may vary based on project needs. Overnight and weekend shifts may be required.


Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Transmission & Substation Construction Manager to manage construction projects in the electrical industry, specifically with substation and transmission backgrounds. The role requires a strong leader with flexibility and knowledge of transmission and substation operations.


Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets for transmission and substation projects.

• Leading and managing project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.

• Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

• Managing project risks and issues and developing mitigation strategies.

• Procuring materials, equipment, and services for transmission and substation projects.

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards on construction sites.

• Preparing and reviewing project documentation, including contracts, reports, and drawings.

• Providing leadership and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.

• Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.

• Communicating with clients, stakeholders, and senior management to provide updates on project status.


Required Skills & Experience

• High School Diploma and 10+ years of experience in electrical Construction Management working on Substation and Transmission projects.

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

• Strong leadership presence

• Flexibility to work overnights and weekends if needed.


Preferred Skills & Experience

• Microsoft Suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Strong computer skills
