How You’ll Work:

  • Location: 7310 Innovation Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46818
  • Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
  • Compensation: This pay scale represents a good faith estimate of the salary wage the company reasonably expects to pay upon hire for this position: $63,250 to $70,000. A final offer amount will depend on factors such as prior relevant experience, skills, and location

Job Summary: Managing an organization's financial information and ensuring its accuracy. Accounting involves the recording and reporting of financial transactions while finance deals with managing the organization's financial resources and making decisions that maximize its value. The accounting and finance function creates financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. They also oversee tax compliance, cash, and risk management, and manage the organization's investments. This function informs stakeholders of the organization's financial health, and their decisions impact the allocation of resources and the organization's ability to grow and succeed. By providing insights into the organization's financials, the accounting and finance function helps to guide decision-making and ensure that the organization is operating efficiently and effectively

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position plays a key role in ensuring contractor/driver commissions are computed timely and accurately
  • Take incoming calls and emails from contractors, operations, agents and external vendors regarding:
    -order settlement status
    -earning and deduction inquiries
    -settlement statement inquiries
  • Enter earnings and deductions as notified in writing from operations or from initial deduction set up form
  • Process settlements
    -Review paperwork to ensure correct and legible
    -Review/audit earnings and deductions
    -Post settlement once review/audit is completed
  • Final out termed contractors within parameters set forth within the ICOA and LPA
  • Work closely with the controller on any ad hoc projects
  • Ensure legal compliance of our processes and actions to meet contractual obligations.
  • Multitasking, accuracy, attention to detail required
  • Perform period end closing responsibilities, including journal entries and financial reporting
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts in a timely manner and research reconciling items
  • Provide internal and external audit support
  • Identify discrepancies and possible compliance and internal control issues

Ideal Experience and Skill Set:

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Accrual-based accounting methods and GAAP
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end adjusting entries

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in accounting support or financial coordination
