Are you eager to be part of a nurturing educational environment for the upcoming school year? Our organization is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to engage in 37.5 hours of work each week within a school district located near Dover, Delaware.
Compensation: The hourly pay ranges from $50 to $56, depending on experience.
Position Details:
- Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Daily Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Start and End Dates: August 21, 2026, to June 10, 2027
- Caseload/Age Group: Middle School, serving around 50 students, with 30-35 students having severe disabilities or autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services
- Evaluate students to determine eligibility for services
- Draft eligibility documentation
- Develop IEP goals based on evaluations
- Write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in IEP meetings to present findings to parents and teams
- Collect data for progress monitoring
- Complete quarterly progress reports
- Maintain digital therapy notes for Medicaid billing
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in education, specializing in special education or a related field
- A valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Additional certification requirements as mandated by the Maryland State Department of Education
