Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a respected organization in Washington, D.C. to bring an experienced Senior Financial Coordinator to their team. This position will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, supporting strategic financial planning, and ensuring accuracy in budget tracking and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with both accounting processes and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support budgeting and forecasting by preparing financial reports, analyzing variances, and identifying trends across departments.
Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making related to grants, departmental spending, and long-term planning.
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in journal entries and month-end closing activities.
Monitor and track project budgets and expenses, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funding requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather and interpret financial data for reporting and compliance purposes.
Prepare and submit financial documentation required for audits and external reporting.
Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of financial systems and internal controls to improve efficiency.
Prepare and reconcile financial data for invoicing, reimbursements, and financial statements.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the finance and accounting team.
