We are seeking a Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologist to begin as soon as possible for ongoing work near Tapteal West, WA. A Washington state license is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Shift Requirements: We are looking for providers who can cover several (5-8) in-house 24-hour call shifts each month on a long-term basis.
- Call Type: In-House.
- Practice Environment: Inpatient.
- Essential Skills:
- Management of low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
- Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
- Performing and interpreting OB ultrasounds
- Conducting routine vaginal deliveries, including low forceps assistance
- Making decisions regarding cesarean sections and handling complicated deliveries
- Experience with C-sections, breech births, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
- Repairing third and fourth-degree lacerations
- Preferred Skills:
- Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic) ultrasounds
- Surgical gynecology, including open and laparoscopic procedures (tubal ligation, LOAs, chromopertubation)
- Operative/major procedures (including diagnostic) such as ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOAs
Qualifications
- Certifications: BLS certification is required.
- Fellowship: Preferred.
- Licensure: Must be licensed in Washington or hold an IMLC.
- Trauma Level: Level 2 Trauma experience is necessary.
- EMR System: Familiarity with Epic is preferred.
- Credentialing: Expect a process duration of 90 to 120 days.
Compensation and Benefits
- Referral Bonus: A $500 bonus will be awarded for any referral who completes 30 days of work.
- Call Compensation: Competitive rates for weeknight call, with a premium for being called in. Weekend call is compensated at 6 regular hours per day when called in.
- Hourly Pay: Competitive hourly rate, along with housing, car rental, gas, mileage (for personal vehicle use only), parking, tolls, and baggage fees.
- Insurance: A++ rated malpractice insurance with tail coverage is included.
