We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our Dermatology team! You will perform clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be reliable. Ideal candidate will be willing to grow with our busy practice and have familiarity with EMR (EMA preferred). Must have a team player mentality. Experience a plus, but willing to train the right candidate!
Our practice provides a friendly working environment with nice physicians who truly appreciate their staff.
We do have two locations: Hackettstown and Livingston
Shift includes one evening / week and one Sat / month.
.Responsibilities:
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Prepares exam rooms for patients.
- Cleans exam rooms following patient visit.
- Reviews patients to obtain their medical history.
- Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
- Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings.
- Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments.
- Properly disposes of contaminated supplies.
- Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields is recommended
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- EMR experience is preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: CPR and first aid certification required; certification as a medical assistant (CMA),RMA,CCMA are preferred
