Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is needed for a night shift position in Saint Peters, MO, on a contract basis. This role involves delivering critical respiratory care, including operating therapeutic gas delivery systems and mechanical ventilators, to support patients' pulmonary function and emergency respiratory needs. The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of experience in respiratory care, emergency response, and intensive care settings.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage therapeutic gas administration devices and mechanical ventilators.
- Provide emergency interventions such as external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, and assist with CPR.
- Maintain accurate charts detailing patient identification and respiratory therapy information.
- Float to different areas within the facility as needed.
- Work in alignment with the healthcare facilitys mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications:
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in Missouri.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
- Minimum of one year respiratory care experience with a strong understanding of pulmonary function and rehabilitation.
- Experience utilizing respiratory equipment and EMR systems (EPIC) is essential.
- Basic nursery experience is considered a plus.
Schedule & Location:
- Night Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7 PM 7 AM)
- 36 guaranteed hours weekly
- Weekend hours as needed
- Location: Saint Peters, Missouri
- Dress code: Black scrubs; professional attire is expected
