Must Haves:

  • 2-3+ Years of Relevant construction or engineering industry experience.
  • Field experience in estimating, purchasing, submittal review, CAD, and cost control.
  • Experience in concrete, excavation, underground and exposed piping.
  • Experience in heavy civil or mechanical type projects.


Plusses:

  • Experience in water/wastewater or Stormwater Treatment Plants


Job Description:

The Project Engineer is responsible for coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. Plans, scheduled, conducts and coordinates assigned engineering work, monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and TCI standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with buyout of project
  • Assists with project schedules and forecasts
  • Assists with coordination and checking of engineering schedules
  • Assists with project status reports and change orders
  • Assists with tracking and knowing trends
  • Participation in weekly progress meetings
  • Resolve project issues
  • Assists with manage weekly recap
  • Track material
  • Review submittals
  • Prepare purchase orders and submittals
  • Review and cost code packing slips
  • Update weekly production summary reports
  • Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve an “on-time” result including follow-up with external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items
  • Monitor program cost activity to achieve an “in budget” result
  • Create bill of material, detailed layout, installation of equipment, pipe, ect.
  • Ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting
  • Supervise technical testing, perform surveys and layout
  • Assist in probable construction cost estimates
  • Assist in preparation of or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for projects
