An opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide vital support to elementary students in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position, based in New Bedford, MA, involves working with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, focusing on the needs of Pre-K to 3rd-grade learners.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Rhode Island SLP license
• Valid Rhode Island teaching certification
• CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary students
• Proficiency in using IEP systems, specifically Aspen

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat students with speech and language disorders, developing tailored education plans (IEPs) for each individual.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement IEP goals and monitor student progress.
• Provide direct services to students, ensuring effective communication and support.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress.
