We are looking for an energetic and motivated Business Development Representative to help grow our customer base in the medical device industry. This role focuses on making outbound calls, researching potential customers, and creating new sales opportunities.

The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, organized, competitive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their sales career who wants to grow professionally and gain experience in healthcare sales.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Lead Generation

  • Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective customers to introduce products or services and develop new business opportunities.
  • Research and identify prospective customers using online tools, databases, social platforms, and internal resources.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on defined criteria including business need, purchasing authority and timeline.
  • Engage prospects via phone, emails, and virtual meetings to advance opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Schedule discovery calls and meetings for senior sales team members.
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity, pipeline, and lead qualification targets.
  • Perform additional sales-related duties as required.

CRM & Data Management

  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain all sales activities within the CRM system.
  • Track calls, emails, follow-ups, meetings, and outcomes to ensure full pipeline visibility.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and accounts.
  • Segment and tag leads appropriately for follow-up.
  • Provide regular pipeline and activity reporting to leadership.

Research & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct pre-call research to understand customer needs and purchasing processes.
  • Identify key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to support effective sales positioning.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with Sales Manager and Product Manager to align outreach strategies and priorities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales team to ensure sales activities, calls, and meetings are executed accurately and on time.
  • Provide ongoing feedback regarding lead quality, objections, and market insights.
  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing sales results, contacts made, identified needs, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist other departments with the preparation of quotes, proposals, and sales presentations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inside sales, outbound sales, telemarketing, or lead generation
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience with cold calling and high-volume outbound outreach
  • Excellent negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills encompassing verbal, written, proofreading, and grammar.
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness, efficiency, independence, and dependability are integral qualities.
  • Strong ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated internet research skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and persuasion skills
  • Experience using CRM systems – HubSpot Preferred.
  • Familiarity with lead sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or similar
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven, fast-paced sales environment
  • Ability to quickly learn technical or industry-specific products
