This role focuses on delivering specialized nursing care to individuals participating in cardiac rehabilitation. It involves applying the nursing process while collaborating with various healthcare departments. The position emphasizes the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality, upholding professional accountability, and holding necessary certifications such as Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The RN will utilize the nursing process to ensure comprehensive patient care. This includes maintaining professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients and assessing the effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers. The role requires coordination of patient care with other departments while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Responsibilities must be executed in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards.

Position Details:Qualifications:

  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
    • Prolonged standing and walking required during each shift.
    • Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary for job duties.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in nursing is preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
    • Additional certifications may be required based on the specific unit, including but not limited to:
      • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
      • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
      • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
      • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
      • Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON)
      • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
      • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
      • Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)
      • S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
      • Fetal Monitor Certification (C-EFM)
      • Other unit-specific certifications as required.
