Excellent Wingman LLC is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join the team in Honolulu, HI US. The role involves performing high-quality maintenance on various types of transport category aircraft including the Boeing B-777, B-747, B-737, B-767, and Airbus A-319/320/321 and A-330 aircraft types. A valid FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technician license is required, and while experience with these aircraft is a plus, all levels of experience are encouraged to apply.
Here’s a summary of what you would be responsible for:
Job Duties:
- Line Maintenance: Perform both on-call and scheduled maintenance on various customers’ aircraft.
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and airworthiness releases, ensuring aircraft are ready to return to service.
- Servicing and Inspection: Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and associated components, meeting deadlines and performance goals.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot systems, disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain fully functioning equipment according to approved technical data.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all departing aircraft are safe per Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals, and properly document all work performed.
- Maintenance Tasks: Perform assigned line maintenance duties, activities, and tasks.
- Communication: Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- FAA License: Must have a valid FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technician license with an Airframe and/or Power Plant rating.
- Reading: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Writing: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speaking: Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.
- Communication: Must be able to communicate with customers within and outside of the U.S., including those for whom English is a second language. Patience and tolerance of differing cultural values and lingual challenges are essential.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Weather: Willingness to work in inclement weather.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have proof of the right to work in the U.S.
- Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably.
- Language Skills: Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Stress Management: Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints.
- Team Player: Self-motivated and able to work well in a team.
- Availability: Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
- Background Check: Must successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history, and a pre-employment drug test.
- Experience Levels: Positions are available for technicians of various experience and skill levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Aircraft Experience: Experience with B747-400, B747-8, B-777 and A-320, A-330 aircraft.
- Avionics: Avionics experience is a plus.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Ability to work with the flight crew and interact professionally with customers.
- Independence: Independent, self-motivated, and able to work without direct supervision.
