Eco Enterprise, LLC is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented and bilingual (English/Spanish) Human Resources Assistant and Onboarding Specialist to support our HR team in a high-pressure, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will service as the right-hand to the HR Director and maintain a consistent HR presence on the plant floor. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient, and capable of working with personnel who may have limited education or minimal technology experience. This role requires someone who is comfortable with direct, blunt feedback from leadership and able to respond and improve immediately. Additionally, the candidate must be able to manage difficult situations, particularly when dealing with upset employees, without taking it personally.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Act as key support to the HR Director in daily HR operations.
- Lead and manage full-cycle onboarding, ensuring clear and hands-on support for new hires.
- Maintain proactive, professional communication with applicants throughout the entire onboarding process.
- Conduct timely follow-ups to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
- Deliver in-person training tailored for individuals with limited tech exposure.
- Maintain HR presence on the plant floor to support employee needs.
- Prepare employment verifications accurately with little to no assistance.
- Provide administrative support by performing clerical functions quickly and efficiently.
- Keep the HR Director informed on ongoing projects and important issues during absences.
- Adjust quickly to changing priorities and communicate clearly with all levels of staff.
- Assist with payroll functions and ensure timely, accurate processing.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emails and internal communications.
- Provide on-call support as needed for HR-related issues outside of standard hours.
- Build trust with employees from diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
- Handle upset employees with professionalism and empathy, without taking it personally.
- Accept and respond well to direct, candid feedback from leadership.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR procedures.
- Support employee relations efforts with patience and empathy.
- Contribute to recruiting and hiring efforts as needed (experience preferred)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
- 1+ years of HR Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Patient, empathetic, and capable of training individuals unfamiliar with tech.
- Able to receive and act on blunt, unfiltered feedback from leadership
- Comfortable working independently in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Available to work 50+ hours/week, including mandatory overtime and on-call support.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance practices.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Teams)
- Proficient in Adobe (PDF editing, forms, templates, etc.)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems; Paylocity experience is a plus.
- Experience in full-cycle recruiting is strongly preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field, and or 2 experience
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
- Must possess strong emotional resilience and the ability to maintain professionalism in challenging or emotionally charged situations.
- Able to handle employee concerns and complaints calmly and objectively, without taking feedback or conflict personally.
- Comfortable receiving direct or blunt feedback from leadership and using it constructively to improve performance.
- Skilled at diffusing tense situations and maintaining tense situations and maintaining a balanced, solution-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred.
Work Environment:
· Fast-paced, manufacturing/production environment.
· Must be able to interact with employees on the production floor as needed.
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
· Will need to work more than 40 hours until department is running efficiently.
