Job Title: CNC EDM Programmer
Location: Irvine, CA
Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $45.00
The CNC EDM Programmer is responsible for leading the wire EDM operations within the company. This includes programming, setting up the Mitsubishi MV1200R EDM machine, and analyzing the EDM process to ensure optimal performance and precision. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAM software (ESPRIT preferred) to produce high-quality components.
Essential Job Functions:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents to determine the specific requirements of each job.
- Program EDM machines using ESPRIT CAM software.
- Set up and operate the Mitsubishi MV1200R EDM machine to produce precision parts and tools.
- Analyze and optimize EDM processes for efficiency and quality.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise with the EDM machine.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of machine usage, production data, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and mathematical concepts.
- Proficiency in CAM software (ESPRIT preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience working with a variety of materials.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain close tolerances within .0002 inches.
