Salary Range: $123,000 - $172,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with multiple companies in Kentwood seeking experienced Controllers. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and cost accounting.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Manage the annual budget and forecasting processes.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification highly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing methodologies
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, preferably with implementation or significant module management experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
- Advanced Excel and data modeling skills (e.g., Power Query, Power Pivot)
- CPA license or CMA certification
- Experience with a private equity-backed company
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
