Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher skilled in supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities. This contract position is based in Modesto, CA, within an elementary school setting, specifically serving a TK-2nd grade ESN Autism classroom. The role offers a structured schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a start date as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of a valid California Moderate/Severe Special Education credential
- Experience working with young children, preferably in early elementary special education settings
- Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related instructional strategies
- Strong classroom management and individualized education plan (IEP) implementation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to TK-2nd grade students with moderate to severe disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs
- Utilize specialized teaching materials and methods adapted to individual student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and academic growth
