Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Processor to join our team onsite in New York, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle Payroll and ADP, along with strong knowledge of payroll processing, tax withholdings, garnishments, and year-end payroll activities. This role requires strong analytical skills to manage retroactive pay calculations, timekeeping adjustments, and multiple payroll systems simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately including wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions

Manage payroll components such as tax withholdings, benefits, and garnishments

Utilize Oracle Payroll and ADP to process payroll transactions and maintain records

Maintain employee payroll data within HRIS and payroll management systems

Review and manage time and attendance records to ensure accurate payroll processing

Perform retroactive pay calculations and resolve timekeeping discrepancies

Support year-end payroll activities, including tax filings and W-2 preparation

Conduct payroll reconciliations and assist with payroll audits

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve pay discrepancies

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to maintain payroll accuracy and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
-
2+ years of payroll processing experience
-
Hands-on experience with Oracle Payroll and ADP
-
Experience handling garnishments, payroll taxes, deductions, and year-end payroll processing

Strong analytical skills for retroactive pay calculations and time adjustments

Ability to work across multiple payroll and HR systems simultaneously

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential payroll data
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field

Fundamental Payroll Certification or Certified Payroll Professional
-
Experience working with HRIS and timekeeping systems

Knowledge of labor laws, payroll tax regulations, and payroll compliance reporting
