The Human Resources Director is a pivotal leader responsible for aligning HR initiatives with operational and strategic goals. This role serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leadership and employees, providing expert counsel and hands-on support across the full spectrum of HR functions.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Partnership:
- Act as a thought partner to Leadership and Culture, translating operational and growth strategies into actionable HR plans.
- Anticipate workforce challenges (e.g., staffing, retention, compliance) and develop solutions.
- Standardize HR practices across multiple locations.
- Talent Management & Organizational Development:
- Design and deliver effective training programs using modern learning methods.
- Drive talent activation through training, governance, and metrics.
- Support HR integrations for acquisitions and data migrations.
- Analyze HR data and communicate insights clearly.
- Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Coach leaders on people management, performance, and career development.
- Resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring alignment with company policies and laws (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA).
- Promote a culture of ethics, compliance, and respect.
- Oversee audits and maintain accurate HR records.
- Total Rewards:
- Develop competitive compensation structures, including bands and incentives.
- Oversee benefits administration (health, dental, vision, retirement) and payroll.
- Ensure career pathing aligns with industry standards.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other tasks as assigned, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years as a senior HR business partner.
- 3+ years managing HR teams.
- Skills:
- Deep knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Expertise in HR process transformation and automation.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
- Business acumen linking HR solutions to organizational goals.
- Hands-on approach with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Preferred:
- HR certifications (SPHR, SHRM-CP).
- Familiarity with HRIS (e.g., Rippling) and tools like Microsoft 365, Canva, Google Docs.
The salary range for this role is $145,000 - $155,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits.
