The Accounting Assistant provides financial support for the company’s accounting department as needed. This is an ENTRY Level position.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Client invoicing and supporting documentation.
· Monitors work in process to make sure billing goals are met.
· Documents and reports aging accounts receivable.
· May assist with processing of related expenses, accounts payable and calculation of overhead rates.
· Job costing as well as routine accounting functions.
· Other accounting tasks and support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have good numerical, organizational, and communication skills, as well an enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Good Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Organization, time management and prioritization skills
- Effective computer skills to use software in a timely and efficient manner
Must also demonstrate the ability to work within a team environment and follow detailed instruction.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word is required.
