Job Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and prioritize production work orders, confirming that all specifications, materials, and quantities are accurate before processing.
- Identify, stage, and verify correct materials, including fabric rolls, sheet metal, and components, based on job requirements.
- Safely move and handle large fabric rolls up to 130 lbs using proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment.
- Perform metal cutting operations, lifting materials up to 50 lbs and cutting parts in accordance with production specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and operate fabric and metal cutting equipment, ensuring correct settings for material thickness, type, and required dimensions.
- Accurately measure, mark, and cut materials to meet production specifications while minimizing waste and maintaining efficiency.
- Monitor cutting processes and inspect finished materials for quality, defects, and adherence to specifications.
- Utilize machinery to cut material to length and verify measurements using appropriate measuring tools.
- Load and unload materials from machines and storage areas, collecting and staging the proper materials for each job.
- Perform installation and mechanical assembly tasks on components and products as required.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, assembly, and installation activities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and cutting patterns to ensure accurate production and assembly.
- Support general production activities, including warehouse inventory tasks and material organization.
- Close out completed work orders, ensuring accurate production tracking, documentation, and data entry.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols and required personal protective equipment procedures.
- Assist with routine machine maintenance, including basic troubleshooting, blade changes, and tool changes.
- Cross-train and operate multiple machines or workstations to support production needs and improve workflow efficiency.
- Apply quality control and quality assurance practices by inspecting work, identifying defects, and correcting issues promptly.
- Manage time effectively to meet production deadlines and support overall throughput goals.
- Communicate clearly with production, quality, and supervision teams to coordinate work and address issues during production runs.
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and cutting patterns accurately.
- Experience operating, or strong willingness to learn, cutting machinery such as fabric cutters, die cutters, CNC equipment, or similar machines.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools to ensure precise cuts and material dimensions.
- Demonstrated attention to detail with a strong focus on precision cutting and quality control.
- Solid understanding of material handling and production processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs for metal cutting tasks and move or assist with fabric rolls up to 130 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work on feet for extended periods in a production setting.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and materials accurately.
- Basic computer skills for uploading work orders, tracking production, and closing out jobs.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor issues and make adjustments during production runs.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet production deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills for working with production, quality, and supervision teams.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and using required personal protective equipment.

Work Environment
- This role is based in a brand new manufacturing facility designed to support efficient production and safe operations.
- You will work in a fast-paced setting with regular exposure to machinery, noise, and production deadlines. The position requires standing for long periods, frequent lifting, bending, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- The environment is safety-focused, requiring consistent adherence to company policies and OSHA standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- You will work around cutting equipment, hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment while collaborating closely with production, quality, and supervision teams.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
