Department: Sales & Business Development, Aerospace
Reports To: Global Vice President, Aerospace
Location: In Office - Garden City, NY
Salary: 130k-150k + bonus. Could consider some flexibility based off candidate years of experience
Position Summary
The Director of Sales, Aerospace Division, will lead the aerospace sales strategy, driving growth in both domestic and international markets. This role requires a results-driven leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution. The Director will manage a team of sales professionals, deepen customer partnerships, and develop innovative go-to-market approaches that strengthen the company's position in the aerospace supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the aerospace sales strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue and profitability targets
- Build and strengthen long-term customer relationships with OEMs, MROs, and global supply chain partners
- Identify and capture new business opportunities in emerging aerospace markets
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Finance) to deliver customer solutions efficiently and profitably
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform product and service strategies
- Drive sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting
- Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows, and professional associations
- Champion a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in aerospace or related industries
- Proven success in managing complex customer relationships and negotiating long-term contracts
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market data, develop strategy, and deliver results
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent)
- Experience with bearings, precision components, or aerospace supply chain solutions
- Familiarity with global distribution models and export compliance requirements
- Experience leading sales teams in family-owned or growth-focused organizations

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
