- Job Details
- The Registered Nurse (RN) ICU I is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients.
- Utilizes nursing process with technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination with health team members.
- Performs assessment of physical, social, psychological status including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate.
- Collaboratively develops individualized plan of care involving patient, family, team, and physician.
- Directs interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration.
- Provides or delegates care consistent with plan of care, guidelines, and licensure provisions.
- Sets priorities and manages patient care delivery effectively.
- Evaluates patient response to interventions and revises plan of care as needed.
- Promotes nursing profession and participates in development of others.
- Complies with legal and ethical standards, regulatory standards, and practices within scope of licensure.
- Job Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills.
- Physical requirements include ability to see and read information, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent verbal communication and hearing in emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients, bend to retrieve and carry supplies and equipment, including heavy items.
- Ability to walk, assist with transporting/ambulating patients, and navigate crowded and busy rooms.
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Schedule Information
- Contract length is 13 weeks.
