This assignment offers options for both day and night shifts, with guaranteed weekly hours and flexible assignment lengths of 13 to 26 weeks. The schedule consists of twelve-hour shifts, creating opportunities for a balance between career advancement and personal exploration.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts
- Day and night shifts available
- 13–26 week assignments
- 36–48 guaranteed hours per week
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license (Nursing - RN-MS)
- Minimum of one year recent Med-Surg nursing experience
- BLS certification (additional certifications such as ACLS preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
- Electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency is advantageous
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to adult patients on a Med-Surg unit
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other nurses
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and care plans
- Ensure patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced environment
