Job Title: CNC Programmer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team and work on a new 4-axis machining center. You will be responsible for programming this machine to machine 6x12x24 inch forgings for flight-critical helicopter components. The components have been rough-machined and you will be required to translate 2D drawings into 3D models, create CNC programs using Mastercam, and design fixtures. You will also assist staff with work order/router development and oversee the first and second article runs to ensure programming readiness.
Responsibilities
- Program a 4-axis machining center for helicopter component production.
- Translate 2D drawings into 3D models.
- Create CNC programs using Mastercam software.
- Design fixtures for the machining process.
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience.
- Proficiency in Mastercam programming.
- Ability to translate 2D drawings into 3D models.
- Experience setting up and operating mills and lathes up to 4-axis.
Work Environment
You will work both on the shop floor with the machines and at a desk. The shop operates 40 hours a week from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a lunch break from 11am to 11:30am. Minimal overtime may be required to meet scheduled due dates. This is a contract opportunity for 8-12 months, with potential for conversion to a full-time position depending on workflow.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
