QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in selling techniques and sales processes
  • Proficiency with computerized sales tools and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
  • Knowledge of current governmental and public agency issues
  • Strong math and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Ability to safely operate equipment, mount and dismount equipment, hook up, secure, and transport equipment
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in agricultural, commercial, or consumer equipment
  • Familiarity with John Deere products and sales applications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or marketing


WHAT TO EXPECT AS A GOVERNMENTAL SALES PROFESSIONAL

In this full-time role, you'll be the dealership's expert in government sales, managing bids, optimizing contracts, and building relationships with John Deere Government Business Managers and public agencies. You'll execute marketing strategies, collaborate with Parts and Service Managers to ensure customer satisfaction, and stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
