Licensed Vocational Nurse: Must be bilingual
As a LVN you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Lead back medical staff to insure office protocols are followed
Patient education
Medication refills
Preauthorizations
Interview patients and document basic medical history
Update and file medical records and insurance reports
Check with patients and update patients charts
Assist during medical examinations
Produce correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
Answer telephones
Skills Required:
Must speak both English and Spanish
eMDs experience strongly preferred
Proven work experience as a LVN in a leadership role (1-3 years)
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Social perceptiveness and service oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
Must understand HIPAA Compliance
Must understand medical terminology (important)
Have medical coding experience (preferred)
Must be able to type and be efficient at it (important)
Must be able to work M-Th from 7:15 to 5 and F from 7:15 to 1:15
