Job Description
We are seeking Project Management professionals to support transit infrastructure projects. This role supports planning, design, and delivery activities and may align as a Project Manager, Design Manager, or Planner based on experience. Candidates will manage work packages, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure projects meet strategic, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned work packages across transit projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Provide input to project planning and execution to ensure staff and consultants meet project requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies (e.g., Planning, FTA, SHPO, EPA) as appropriate.
- Support preparation of messaging plans, notices, contingency planning, and related project communications.
- Ensure compliance with sustainability and certification requirements; support documentation efforts by consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Track project progress, risks, action items, and milestones; provide clear status updates to stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, schedules, and presentations for leadership, clients, and agency review.
- Utilize project management tools and systems to maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Identify and resolve issues impacting scope, schedule, quality, or compliance.
Requirements
- Transit, Utility, Rail Transportation, and/or Construction project management industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Transportation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of project management or project support experience.
- Strong Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, SharePoint).
- Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.
Strongly Preferred
- Optional certifications such as LEED, Envision, PMP, PE, AICP, or similar.
- Experience working with public agencies and regulatory environments.
