A rapidly growing 503A compounding pharmacy located in Tempe, AZ is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with active, clear pharmacist licenses in California and Arizona. Schedule:
- Full Time, 32 hours per week
- Monday through Thursday
- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (shift can be selected)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and strict adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, providing guidance, performance feedback, and ongoing training.
- Review, verify, and approve prescription orders with attention to accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and compliance requirements before dispensing.
- Maintain compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations, company policies, quality standards, and documentation protocols.
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to optimize pharmacy operations and service quality.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement operational improvements and uphold high standards of patient care.
- Participate in non-sterile compounding activities as needed, with training provided.
Qualifications:
- Active, clear pharmacist licenses in California and Arizona are mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years’ pharmacist experience; background in mail order, Long Term Care, or 503A pharmacy preferred.
- Experience in non-sterile compounding is strongly preferred but not required.
- Prior pharmacy management experience is a plus but not essential.
- Ability to commit to full-time work.
