Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rapidly growing 503A compounding pharmacy located in Tempe, AZ is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with active, clear pharmacist licenses in California and Arizona. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a newer pharmacist to gain valuable experience in pharmacy operations and non-sterile compounding within a supportive environment. Location:

  • Tempe, AZ

Schedule:

  • Full Time, 32 hours per week
  • Monday through Thursday
  • 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (shift can be selected)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and strict adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, providing guidance, performance feedback, and ongoing training.
  • Review, verify, and approve prescription orders with attention to accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and compliance requirements before dispensing.
  • Maintain compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations, company policies, quality standards, and documentation protocols.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to optimize pharmacy operations and service quality.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement operational improvements and uphold high standards of patient care.
  • Participate in non-sterile compounding activities as needed, with training provided.

Qualifications:

  • Active, clear pharmacist licenses in California and Arizona are mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ pharmacist experience; background in mail order, Long Term Care, or 503A pharmacy preferred.
  • Experience in non-sterile compounding is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Prior pharmacy management experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Ability to commit to full-time work.
