- Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse / Surgical Nurse – Travel assignment\n
- Facility: 488-bed acute care hospital, Joint Commission Gold Seal accredited\n
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)\n
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 10-hour days\n
- Hours per Week: 40\n
- On-Call: Rotating weekends and on-call requirements (2 weeknight calls, 2 weekend 24-hour calls, 1 holiday call per 4-week period)\n
- Dress Code: Navy blue or Royal blue scrubs (no surgical type scrubs)\n
\n\nRequired Qualifications – OR RN / Perioperative Nurse\n

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of assignment as required)\n
- BLS and ACLS certifications required\n
- Minimum 1 year of current experience in an acute operating room (OR) setting\n
- Experience with orthopedic, spine, and joint replacement procedures (knee and hip replacement)\n
- Ability to scrub and circulate across multiple service lines\n
- Proficient with Meditech EMR (electronic medical record) and accurate perioperative charting\n
- Preferred: PALS, CNOR certification, and prior charge nurse experience\n
\n\nCore Responsibilities – Surgical Nurse / Perioperative RN\n

- Provide safe, evidence-based perioperative care: observe, assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate surgical patients\n
- Scrub and circulate for a variety of procedures including joint replacement, ENT, ortho, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic, and plastic surgery\n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and clinical coordinators\n
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in Meditech EMR and timely charting of perioperative care\n
- Participate in on-call rotations, weekend coverage, and holiday shifts as required\n
- Demonstrate critical thinking, reliability, strong communication, and excellent bedside manner for surgical patients\n
