Provide critical care and expert nursing services in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment located in the San Antonio area. This 13-week contract role demands a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with strong emergency nursing experience, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care for diverse medical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with a range of acute medical conditions.
  • Perform critical procedures such as conscious sedation, intubations, sepsis management, stroke interventions (including TPA administration), and cardiac alert protocols.
  • Participate actively in behavioral health watches and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech electronic health records.
  • Adhere strictly to hospital policies including floating assignments as needed and dress code standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted).
  • Minimum of 2+ years of ER nursing experience.
  • Current certifications required: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS.
  • Preferred: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential and familiarity with Meditech system.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Schedule and Contract Details

  • Shift hours: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM 7:30 AM.
  • Weekend work every other weekend.
  • Guaranteed minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Floating required as per facility policy.
