Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher at a middle school setting in Jersey City, NJ. This contract position spans from January 15 to June 15, aligning with the current school year calendar. The role requires dedication to supporting students within an inclusion and co-taught model, managing a caseload exclusively within one building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with Special Education needs in a middle school environment.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers to implement inclusive strategies and co-teaching models.
• Develop, adapt, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation on student progress and provide regular communication with families and staff.
• Participate actively in team meetings and professional development sessions.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certified Special Education Teacher credential required.
• Experience working in middle school settings is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of inclusion and co-teaching strategies.
• Ability to manage and maintain a caseload effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Hours of work are from 7:55 AM to 3:05 PM, Monday through Friday, with commitment to one school building. This contract offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in an inclusive educational environment through collaborative teaching efforts.
