About the Role:
An established global manufacturer in the building materials industry is seeking a hands-on Electrical/Controls Engineer II to advance plant performance, reliability, and automation excellence. This role supports high-impact production initiatives and is ideal for an engineer passionate about optimizing power systems, automation networks, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:

Lead and perform electrical and controls engineering for equipment design, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) for efficiency and safety.

Support electrical infrastructure including 480V and 4160V distribution systems, VFDs, and power management.

Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot equipment and ensure minimal downtime.

Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance planning to drive uptime and productivity.

Partner with safety and environmental teams to ensure full compliance with NFPA 70E and related standards.

Develop and execute small capital and process improvement projects focused on automation reliability.

Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM principles to improve process efficiency and asset life cycle.
What You Bring:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

3+ years of manufacturing experience in automation, controls, or electrical systems.

Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and variable frequency drives.

Working knowledge of industrial databases (WonderWare) and control network systems.

Experience in electrical power distribution and design for process equipment.

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.

Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced production environment and occasionally travel for projects.
