Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our Drafting Department. The ideal candidate will create precise CAD drawings based on customer specifications using SolidWorks. This role is critical in translating user needs into clear and actionable designs that meet production requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receive and review Customer Needs Documents from the Drafting Manager to determine the drafting designs required for each project.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed CAD designs that encompass production-specific needs.
- Integrate new designs into existing drawings, constructing a complete drafting project that aligns with customer requirements, and submit for review and approval.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve drafting-related issues and support the project completion process.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the drafting team and overall project objectives
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent interpretative skills for both written and oral instructions.
- Proficient in CAD drawing and interpretation, with a strong preference for SolidWorks experience.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to troubleshoot and resolve various project challenges.
- Strong project management skills with the capability to see drafting projects through to completion.
- Comprehensive understanding and execution of detailed instructions provided in written and verbal formats.
Physical Demands:
- Primarily sedentary work, requiring the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- The role involves substantial talking and hearing, necessitating the ability to express and receive detailed information accurately.
- Requires repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, with a necessity for visual acuity to ensure accuracy and neatness in work.
Work Environment:
This position is typically performed in a standard office or administrative setting with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of three years of education and relevant experience in a related field.
- Minimum of three years' experience with drafting methods and tools, demonstrating a solid background in the discipline.
