Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide in-home services to children and families under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role focuses on supporting children’s independence, regulation, and participation through individualized, strengths-based intervention.
Clinicians in this role use flexible, responsive approaches and collaborate closely with families to integrate therapy into daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to pediatric clients in their homes under OT supervision
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising OT
- Use child-led, play-based interventions grounded in sensory integration principles
- Support development of self-regulation, sensory processing, motor skills, and daily living skills
- Partner with parents and caregivers to support carryover of therapeutic strategies
- Assist with adapting environments and routines to promote accessibility and participation
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with company and payer requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervising OT and interdisciplinary team members
- Travel between client homes within designated service area

Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state licensure as a COTA
Preferred:
- Experience in pediatrics
- Experience or strong interest in sensory integration and neurodiversity-affirming practices
- Strong caregiver coaching and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a home health setting
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
