An experienced optical manager is needed for a NE Portland optometry clinic. Our clinic is committed to providing our community with the highest quality vision care in a respectful, comfortable, and patient-centered environment. We strive to build long-term relationships as a result of our excellent customer service.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Delegating appropriate work to staff members
- Training and bringing out the best in staff
- Managing staff concerns
- Conducting Staff Reviews
- Optimizing processes
- Approving PTO
- Customer frame selection, glasses dispensing, adjustments, and repairs
- Frame buying and communication with frame vendors
- Coordinating optical orders with labs
- Maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for those in the clinic
- Telephone customer service
- Scheduling appointments
- Assisting fellow staff members in maintaining office flow
- Collecting payments
- Coordinating care with outside health care providers
- Verifying Vision and Medical Insurance
Looking for applicants who are:
- Excellent communication skills and working in a team environment
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Proficient in all customary optical skills
- Fashion aware
- Up to date in their knowledge of optical trends and technology
- Professional, reliable, and team oriented
- Computer proficient
Minimum of 1 year experience required, 2 or more years preferred.
Compensation is commensurate experience and not commission based.

Workdays are Monday-Friday, 8-5.
