We are a well‑established commercial and industrial electrical contractor headquartered in Burlington, Vermont, seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead field operations within a 60‑mile radius of our office. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality electrical installations across a diverse range of project sites.
We are looking for a safety‑minded professional with strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship. This opportunity offers a clear path for career advancement, including progression into a Project Manager role.
Position Overview
The Electrical Foreman will supervise on‑site crews, coordinate daily project activities, communicate with subcontractors and site leadership, and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Projects typically include commercial new construction, industrial service work, and facility upgrades.
This is a Contract-to-Hire position, designed with a shorter, four‑month contract period to allow for a timely transition into full‑time employment based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and supervise electrical crews on active job sites
- Coordinate project tasks, manpower, and workflow to meet deadlines
- Communicate regularly with subcontractors and project stakeholders
- Provide progress updates and field insights to Project Managers
- Interpret and implement electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Ensure adherence to all electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Oversee installation, troubleshooting, wiring, and conduit systems
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and jobsite organization
Required Qualifications
- Current Vermont Journeyman (JM) Electrical License
- 3+ years of experience as a Commercial or Industrial Foreman
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in blueprint and schematic interpretation
- Skilled in conduit bending, wiring, and equipment installation
- Effective communication and team leadership abilities
- Must supply standard personal hand tools
Preferred Experience
- Experience in both commercial and industrial electrical environments
- Ability to work effectively in indoor and outdoor conditions
- Residential JM or foreman experience will be considered for candidates seeking to transition into commercial or industrial work

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
