This position is responsible for processing all of the City's claims in a timely and efficient manner by maintaining high levels of organization and customer service.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. *Process all claims to ensure legal compliance by following policies, procedures, guidelines as well as state and federal regulations.
  2. *Provide legal support by assembling document for settlement action.
  3. *Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  4. *Assist with payroll, bookkeeping, and perform other duties as assigned.

  7. Stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally.
  8. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  9. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

  1. This position requires working in the internal environment.
  2. This position requires a flexible work schedule; night and/or weekends may be required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and TRAINING

  1. Minimum of high school diploma required; some college preferred.
  2. One to two years general claims experience required.
  3. Previous customer services experience.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form.
  5. A pleasant, friendly, and outgoing demeanor.
  6. Experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  7. Ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls while maintaining proper phone etiquette and a high level of professionalism at all times.
  8. Willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned.
